As a child, I was an avid collector of postcards. I would collect them from everywhere I went; the zoo, museums, holidays, family members and friends who were traveling, vintage postcards I found in the antique shops. I didn’t matter where they came from all I cared about was wanting to see the postage stamps, the imagine on the front of the card and, the small bit of writing on the back. I was transfixed. And I must say that as I grew up, my love for postcards still holds true and I have several albums filled with an array of cards.

Sadly, we live in a digital age where the art of sending postcards have become almost extinct. Many say that it’s easier to send and email or text and I must admit I often do that as well, but for me it seems a bit impersonal. An email or text can be composed, sent, and received in the blink of an eye, but sending a postcard takes time, not that much time mind you, but there is a process involved. First you have to select the card, then you have to compose a little message, write down the address, place a stamp upon it and send it off to it’s destination where the receiver happily awaits its arrival. There is something classical about sending and receiving one.

2. Once you receive your swap partners, you have 2 weeks to send out the cards.
3. Make you write something on the back of the card, it doesn’t have to be long but it’s always nice read something on the back of a postcard.
4. You can choose between three shipping options: US Only, Worldwide, or both.
5. You do not have to be a blogger to participate.
